ASCP simply means American Society for Clinical Pathology and it is comprises of all Health professional including Medical laboratory scientist, Technologist, Pathologist, Nurses and laboratory Physicians, that all the professions that have relationship with clinical diagnosis on how to improve the health of patients via laboratory methods. The I at the end of ASCP simply refer to international ASCP holder, that is someone who graduates or acquired ASCP outside America while ASCP without I is for those who based and live and practice in America.
The minimum degree to sit for ASCPi is Bachelor degree or its equivalence in Medical laboratory sciences. e.g for applicant whom his or her degree is focus in MLS and similarly in other Health fields associated with Diagnosis

AT DRIB courses duration depend on the choice of the prospective students which could be one, three, six, Nine and Twelve months respectively. And the degree research training and work depend on the student home universities who have requested DRIB for such services in those capacities. However, students from other universities that are not into direct partnership with DRIB must submit at enrollment letter of consent from the supervisors and fulfill the formalities stipulated by DRIB.
At DRIB there is no specific requirement as DRIB is not a university or polytechnic that require some basic requirements while at DRIB, we encourage any individual who have keen interest in learning real practical research work in Biotechnology and any of the applied sciences to apply and such students are admitted on individual basis and the need for the training to be done. AT DRIB we carry out our research work majorly on lover animals such as Rats, Rabbit, snake, peri-winkle, cat, lizards, snail, Insects and many more, as DRIB is purely Biotechnology research institute, it is not a diagnostic center or medical laboratory testing human samples, all our facilities are designed for research in animal sciences and are biotechnologically inclined.
